Gotland's convention center, Wisby Strand Congress & Event, opened in spring of 2007. The venue has the best location imaginable in Visby, right near Almedalen and Gotland University, and on the coast. Wisby Strand has an area of 6000 square meters with seating for 1000, and the possibility to run several events simultaneously. Wisby Strand can be adapted to other activities such as theater performances, concerts, product launches and exhibitions. The convention center also has a restaurant that can serve 1000 people. The restaurant faces the sea and have a spectacular view.
